What are the restaurant dress codes?
Lopesan Costa Bávaro recommends consulting the welcome magazine to learn more about the two types of clothing required at each restaurant:
‘Evening casual’: ladies can wear dresses, jeans, shorts and T-shirts, while men can wear jeans, shorts and T-shirts.
‘Evening elegant’: ladies are required to wear dresses, long pants, dress shoes or sandals. Men must wear long trousers (chinos or jeans), short- or long-sleeved shirts, with or without a collar, dress shoes or sandals.
Are reservations required at the theme restaurants?
The dining options at Lopesan Costa Bávaro are designed to create an experience that all types of palates will love, so if you like to plan your culinary experiences in advance, we provide a reservation service to ensure you enjoy an “à la carte” vacation.
Each restaurant is divided into sections with the majority set aside for reservations, while other sections are first come, first serve, which is why we are unable to guarantee a minimum waiting time.
What types of drinks are included in the All Inclusive (AI) package?
Our All Inclusive (AI) service includes a wide selection of premium drinks such as: Johnnie Walker Black Label, Chivas Regal 12 Years, Jack Daniel’s, Brugal XV, Barcelo Imperial, Matusalem Añejo, Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray, Absolut, Smirnoff, Stolichnaya and José Cuervo Blanco, while those guests who want to order premium drinks can choose from an extensive menu for an additional charge.
Does the hotel serve menus for vegetarians, people with diabetes and people with allergies?
Yes, our different restaurants offer special meals adapted to the guest’s dietary needs; please speak to reception for more information.

What is the hotel’s towel policy?
We provide guests with free towels that are replaced daily. Ask about the location of the towel exchange boots and the service terms and conditions at reception.
How much does it cost to use the water park?
All our guests can use the water park for free, which is included in the All Inclusive (AI) package.

How much does the Wi-Fi connection cost?
All our guests have free Wi-Fi connection, as well as international calls to the United States and Canada at no additional cost.
Where is the adults-only area located?
The adults-only area in located in the main area of the hotel and has a bar, an exclusive swimming pool and an à la carte Mediterranean restaurant, ensuring complete peace and relaxation for guests.
How far is the adults-only area from the beach?
The adults-only area is 250 meters from the beach and it takes just 2 minutes to get to the sand from the hotel lobby.

The Boulevard offers all guests a wide range of entertainment and shopping options, the perfect place to pick up a souvenir and other purchases.

Does the resort have a doctor?
The hotel has a medical center where services are provided at an extra cost.
Does the hotel have a pharmacy?
The Boulevard has a pharmacy that sells medicine and cosmetic products.
Can I drink water directly from the tap?
The tap water in the Dominican Republic is not potable and we provide free bottled mineral water our minibars, as well as at our restaurants.

Does the hotel have a tour service?
At reception you can find a wide range of tours, organized by outside companies, which adapt to the guests’ interest and activity levels.
What is the hotel’s entertainment program?
The Lopesan Costa Bávaro has a magnificent team of entertainers that provide a full program of day and night activities in different areas of the resorts (times depend on the schedule that will be projected on our screens).
Are there activities for children?
Panchi, Lopesan’s official mascot, invites all children to enjoy a fun daily program of children’s activities at the Panchi Kids Club (open from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm).
Are there specific areas for teens?
Teen guests have free access to the ‘Vibe’ recreational area, located on The Boulevard, as well as the bowling alley & arcade (at an additional cost).
What type of shows are performed at the theater?
At night, guests can go to the theater for fun and entertaining variety shows performed by our orchestra and dancers, including The Concerts by Lopesan (times depend on the schedule that will be projected on our screens).
Are the theater shows suitable for all audiences?
No, the theater performances are for adults only, so we recommend that guests with children visit the miniclub to see the extensive children’s program presented by Lopesan Costa Bávaro.
Will there be outdoor shows on The Boulevard?
Performances –which promote the show and live music that will be performed in the theater– are held in the pavilion on The Boulevard day and night and are suitable for all ages.

How much does it cost to use the gym?
The All Inclusive (AI) package allows customers to access the state-of-the-art gym at Lopesan Costa Bávaro, which is equipped with top-of-the-line machines from the prestigious Hammer Strength brand, free of charge.
Can you practice water sports on the beach?
Our guests have a full range of water sports available, including windsurfing, sailing and diving (at an additional cost).
What kind of workouts does the resort provide?
Our guests can choose from a wide selection of physical activities such as Aquagym, Water polo, Spinning, Paddle Tennis, Yoga, Fitness and Crazy Game, among others.
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Do I have to pay the tourist tax?
Travelers who visit the Dominican Republic are required to pay for the ‘Tourist Card’, which costs US $10 and is usually included in the airline ticket or tourist package.
The departure tax is US $20, however, this fee is also usually included in the cost of airfare.
Should you have any questions, we recommend consulting your embassy and asking if you need a visa to travel to the Dominican Republic.
What is the local currency?
The official currency in the Dominican Republic is the Dominican peso, and although US dollars and euros can be used in all tourist areas, we recommend exchanging money into local currency.
What is the official language?
The official language of the Dominican Republic is Spanish, however, English is spoken in the main tourist areas.
What is the climate in the Dominican Republic?
The climate is tropical and the country has the same weather as the northern hemisphere.
The average temperature ranges from²5ºC to 30ºC (77ºF to 85ºF), except at high elevations.
Do I need to get vaccinated to travel to the Dominican Republic?
Vaccines are not required, but we recommend speaking to your doctor and checking the specific recommendations made by your country’s Ministry of Health.
